The Guild of Property Professionals Conference 2020: A Great Opportunity to Connect with The Industry

There’s nothing like getting out from behind our desks and meeting colleagues from all around the property industry…

And we got to do exactly that this last week.

You see, we ventured out of our Lincolnshire offices to head down to the excellent annual conference held by The Guild of Property Professionals and Fine & Country.

We’ve worked closely with the Guild for many years and they do a great job of providing professional advice and support to independent estate and letting agents all around the country and beyond.

This year, the event was held at the impressive QEII Conference Centre in Westminster and our director, Kevin Broadhurst and valuer, James Stanhope were both in attendance.

In fact, we had our very own Leasegevity stand where Kevin and James spent much of the day taking questions and chatting with people from all around the property industry.

Here you can see Kevin and James all set up:

Meeting Like-minded People

It was really interesting and extremely informative to be able to discuss the challenges different agents are having with leasehold properties…

And it was particularly illuminating to hear what people think to the various changes being planned in our industry at the moment.

(You can read a little more about possible changes to the way leases are dealt with here)

It was great to see an enormous variety of companies represented at the conference, such as Champions, Mackay Property Agents, Andrew Lodge Estate Agents, Taylor Milburn Sales & Lettings and Alistair Redhouse Estate Agents…

Frankly there were too many to mention.

But it was an absolute pleasure to chat with so many like-minded people.

At one point, Kevin even found himself being interviewed by property expert, Christopher Watkin.

Here’s a peek behind the scenes:

It just goes to show how popular the Guild’s conference really is and we’ll certainly be visiting again next year.

In the meantime, you can find out more about the work the Guild do here:

New Partnerships

We’re looking forward to working with many of the people we met and striking up new partnerships in the future.

From the feedback we received at the stand, it seems there are still many agents and clients who need support when it comes to extending the leases on their leasehold properties.

Of course: that’s why we founded Leasegevity in the first place.

So naturally, if you’re an independent estate agent or a property professional of any kind and you’d like more support when it comes to lease extensions…

Don’t hesitate to get in touch.

As we made clear to many of the colleagues we spoke to at the conference, we’re always interested in exploring new ways we can work with people in the industry…

And we’re always happy to chat.
